Adjust-click on the Save button in a Write News or Write Mail window will save a "draft" copy of the article. This can be used later to resume work on the message by re-opening it into a Write News or Write Mail window. This replaces the previous behaviour of Pluto where it saved the message as a text file.

Draft articles are stored in the same box (the "Log Box") as the Log Copies of messages that you send. They are shown with a distinctive article status icon ("stat_17").

If you double-click on a Draft article in an article list, it will open into a Write News or Write Mail window so that you can continue to edit its contents. The Draft article is automatically deleted when you post the message, when it's replaced by the Log Copy.

If the Autosave feature is enabled (from Preferences->Misc->Autosave) then this will also save the Write News or Write Mail window as a Draft article. Draft articles which are created by the Autosave function are more temporary and are shown with their subject title in grey in the article list. They are only there as a precaution against computer or software malfunction while writing the message and are deleted automatically when the Write News or Write Mail window is closed.
